Cheddar Cheese Ball

I am a cheddar cheese ball sometimes. Why Cheddar? Because it sounds better than Provolone Cheese Ball and I don't like Guda or Peperjack.

I love my friends but when they come to me for advice especially when i'm tired, the things i saw are kind of hilarious. I find myself often stating the obvious. She found it funny at least, but how often do we really help people when they ask for advice? I know a ton of people who have seriously helped me with their advice. I was going to say I don't think we always help but then I actually thought about what I was saying before I said it.

That makes me think of this annoying habit I have. My mom pointed it out to me a few days ago. Actually i think it was the day before I started this blog. Apparently every time I can't choose between two things, for example nail polish, I pick a person and ask them to pick. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit how true this is but ninety nine percent of the time i choose the exact opposite of what they pick. My mom gets frustrated at me for that. But, wait. I can explain why. I'm not trying to be rude people. I'm sure if you know me I've done this to you to at some point, so please don't be angry with me. My logic works this way...I have two choices and I'm leaning on the fence. I pick based on my reaction to the choice you make. IT IS NOT me not liking you or your choice, it's just me realizing what I wanted more. So, no offense...

Alright, so it's Hump Day, and I can' t believe just wrote those words.  Valentine's Day is this weekend. Raise your hand if your single, like me and going to hibernate for the day. I am at least until my movie going buddy get's done work. THANKS MOM! It's great that I always have someone to see a movie with. So to all of you out there, thank your mom for being awesome. Mine rocks!

Of course now, in the spirit of movie love, I've got "Everything Is Awesome!" from the Lego movie commercial stuck in my head on repeat. FAN-tastic.Womp Womp Waaaa. Just kidding....I do love a romance movie, they are my guilty pleasures. What are yours? Valentine's Day this year has two coming out that I really want to see.

1. Winter's Tale.  If you check out the New Page I've added to my wonderful Blog, BOOKGASM, you can see the first entry of my book recommendations is Winter's Tale. Not to be confused with Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale. This one is by Mark Helprin. Anyway, the movie comes out on Valentine's day...I am redundant aren't I?....The movie looks just as beautiful as the book. And Bonus points it stars Colin Ferrel (sp?). I probably butchered that spelling...I'm going to pause now and look it up like a proper blogger. And....insert drum roll here.... I was right, I spelled his last name wrong it's Farrell. The Dude from S.W.A.T. Whatever, I'll attach some photos below of him and the movie's mobile imdb.com page.

2. Endless Love. This one has Alex Pettyfer in it. Go Me, Google that name too and I spelled it right. I feel awesome....EVERYTHING IS AWESOME....that will get old fast.  The reason I want to see this movie is that the trailer for it totally throws off my expectations for what to expect.  You see, I went to college and came out with a film minor on my degree. So I've had it drilled into my head that music can set a scene and convince the audience to feel something specific. Well, Endless Love, as a title is pretty straight forward, but the song they played during the first trailer totally made me believe this was going to turn out to be some twisted horror movie. I was expected Pettyfer to turn out to be this stalker guy or something, Like Fear. Now, Fear was a movie Mark Wahlberg did in 1996 with Reese Witherspoon. It hooks you with the love story than wham, dude goes psycho. That's what this trailer had me believing was going to happen, that or the dad would go crazy and try to kill the guy his daughter is dating. I don't know. So I need to see the movie and discover what really is going to happen, my curiosity has been engaged to the fullest. I NEED TO KNOW.

Movies are like my life. Can't get enough of them. The last movie I saw was actually Vampire Academy. I was so nervous about it I was freaking out before hand. I loved reading Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. The books are very near and dear to my heart so I worried because the trailers on tv were kind of corny. Yet, thank God they did a fantastic job.

I am now in Love with Danila Kozlovsky, the guy who played Dimitri in that movie. He's so hot.

Anyways.....Update on my new found obsession with Geek & Sundry....I was only watching The Flog and Co-optitude. (my spelling skills suck). But now, I've started watching old Spellslinger and Table Top Videos. I'm am obsessed with them, and I'm also realizing that I am a bigger geek than I previously thought I was. I'm quite proud off that fact. What's the point of life if you pretend you don't enjoy the things you do. I am a fan of board games. I'd rather play them, or watch movies, or read then be at a bar. It's true. If I was brave enough to actually go in front of a camera I'd love to do a Vlog on Geek & Sundry or something. I love this channel. How much of a geek are you guys and gals? ...Seriously though, I'd love some feedback from you!

I know this post isn't nearly as long as the other ones but I promise the next one will be a bit longer.

Red Walls and Memory

Ok peoples.  Post dué.

Im gonna try and post 2 times every day if I can manage it. I mean why not. I have a lot of fun writing this.

Hope you all continue to read it and enjoy and maybe ill convince you to comment.

I was lying down on my bed earlier tonight and kind of atred at my walls for a while.  I have red walls. They are bright red. See picture below.  Its kind of cool. But anyways im staring at them when I suddenly have one of those moments where u go oh my god...im old....I have lived I  the same bedroom since I was two. Im 22 now. Yikes.  I can stare at these walls and remember the white paneling I used to have, covered in posters of Orlando Bloom, and even the Barney curtains I had way back in the day.

It's so strange thinking about your own personal  history like that. Memory is a beautiful thing.

Do you have a favorite memory?

.......

So I started playing Clash of Clans today. Its addictive.  Another phone game I disapear into YAy. ...

Pause on that thought, weigh in on this people : What is thr dumbest commercial you know of? The Carmax one where they slow clap is just annoying.

Back to clash of clans, sort of, it got me thinking about how much of gamer id be if I took the time to get my interbet up and download games. I had a W.O.W game on my school computer but I had to delete it. The thing was the perfect procrastination tool though. I started playing close to midterms and finals, so you can imagine how much work I was getting done.

Regardless of the game though I was one of those students who'd do everything last minute and never study but still manage to score fantastic grades in my classes. ...Go on be jealous.

Have you seen any of the Olympic events in Sochi yet? I don't mean in Sochi literally but on tv. If you are in Sochi im jealous.  Right now im watching the first competition of Women's Free Style slope ski something or other.  I think its pretty cool that women can hand with the boys on so many of these events.

Can't lie, im excited to see Shawn White compete.  He is awesome. But WOAH did you  see his hair. He chopped off his awesome red locks!

Its no secret that one of my bucket list numbers is learn to snow board. I promise you id never be good at it but I do also promise that if I do learn and am still posting here I will video it and post the video.

Ok, im aw en right now....the positions theses ice skaters get themselves into...I would hate couples skating.  Men basically grab the girls between the legs and lift. How uncomfortable that must be. Remimds me of Robin Williams and his bits about the Olympics.

Ive never laughed harder than when I watched his skits. One joke he told was about how its ridiculous for the competitors smoke pot. He pointed it out thay the judges called it an unfair inhancement or something.   He bent down and goes "You better put a go damn candy bar at the end of the runway." Then they will be moving....

Alright. I am signing off for the night. Short post but at least I posted right. Love you guys and gals.

See You Later

Burnt OUT!

In my last post I told you all that I was going to the gym. Well, I did. Go me, I totally felt like a rock star actually getting myself inside the building. Unfortunately I came out feeling like I'd been run over. I cannot believe how out of shape I really am.  I do miss the energy levels I had before I worked out on the treadmill. Sitting here now, I'm still completely drained. Hence the title of this post. BURNT OUT.

I have a list of topics I wanted to rant about this time but I think my natural flow is so much better.....

Oh my God I want to cry. I am on my phone again writing this and got a text like two seconds ago....so I clicked out of my Blogger app. I forgot to save the long post Id worked hard on.

FACE PALM

Let's see if I can remember what I said....

Oh yes! I know I started with Caffeine Withdrawl. I woke up practically hungover from my caffeine high yesterday. It was crazy my hands were shaking right up until I went to the gym. This morning my head was and currently still is killing me. If this was a video you'd see me shaking my fists at the sky going "why monster, why."

I think the second thing I started talkong about was ....

Pinterest. Yes. I have like 94 followers last time I checked. I think thats awesome. I kind of want to get popular on pinterest cause I am am a writer and if they/you like the boards about my books  maybe you/ they will buy it.

Im excited to get done my second draft, but im not sure which direction im gonna go. Im impatient and stuborn.

That reminds me. I do remeber mentioning before I didnt save it and lost all that beautiful post that I would probably only survive the zombie apocalypse because im stuborn. "Ain't gonna let them zombies bite me!"

I cant imagine what the kids today would do during the apocalypse.  99 percent of people my age dont have applicable skills to survive in world without power or society as we know it. I like to pretend im not like thos people, but truth is I could run my whole world from my phone and kind of do. The apps ive got let me do almost anything.  I run my magazine from this phone along with my blog and pin on pinterest. Its an addiction.  A bad one. But at least its not drugs right?....

Ok so I wanted to introduce a new feature im going to try add to this site. I want to add a page about the Fandoms I love. I could rant about anything on here but those posts would be specific to shows and movies.  Sound potentially cool? I think so....

So I will let you know for sure once it's up. Ill post the comentary I have saved up on Arrow and Supernatural and all my other favs there.

But I do what to say this before k sign off for the day.

The main character of Arrow is Oliver Queen, right? Well, the actor who plays him, Mr. Stephen Amell,  has really surprised me. Most celebrities don't take the time outnof their bisy schedules to interact with fans on a regular basis, especially on face book. Yet, Stephen does. His posts videos, status updates, and even pictures of his lofe for our enjoyment and think that awesome sause...yes I did just use that phrase, im a geek with antiquated vocabulary.

Anyway back to Mr. Amell. Im happy to say he is more than just a gorgeous god. The man actually has a heart and some fantastic acting skills. When he puts on the green hood I really do believe he is the superhero. Kudos Dude! I kind of hope he/you actually read this post too. I would love your thoughts if yoh think I'm funny! Or just a hi. A Hi from you would make my year!

One last thing I was corrected about the hipster Platypus on my Lunchable yesterday. A friend of mine showed me another image of hipster platypus.  I was wrong. The one on the box was just cool....I unfortunately dont have the link for you but I will next post.

.....See You Later

Ps. Attached a photo or two fo the cats at my work. Check em out.

Cool Cats and Lunchables

It’s time for the second post of the day! I know you are all just  jumping up and down with excitement.
Let me start this post by saying it will be rare that I post twice in one day. That would be awesome if I could do a morning post and evening post all the time, but it seems my hyperactivity is the only way that will happen.

As it stands this post was actually inspired by my work day today.  For an awesome change of pace I’m actually working the morning shifts this week, so I get some quite time to think and actually get to eat dinner with my family. Score one for the home team.

Yes, I did actually say that. I am not only a geek I a geek with antiquated terminology.
Anyways, I work at a tennis center. It’s pretty cool. Nice people. I’ve been here for nearly six years now.  God, does that make me feel old. At this tennis center there are three cats. Yes CATS. They live here. So if your allergic stay away. Far away. Their names are Arthur after Arthur Ashe, Mackey after James McEnroe, and Wilson after the tennis brand.  They are totally adorable…except when they have hairballs, that is so not cute…but I love them.

Don’t tell Macky or Arthur but Wilson is my favorite. He’s so cute. He sits up on the desk with me, like he’s working too. Little jerk has beaten me out for employee of the month since August.
I wanted to tell you guys and gals about these cats simply because they are a riot.  The three of them will sit on the courts if it’s warm and stand right in your way as you’re trying to play tennis. I’ve watched people try to scare them away politely with balls but they stare at them like they are a gnat they can squash.  I’ve only seen the react to a ball when it hits them directly.

They fear nothing, except me, I’m the one who puts them in at night, and let me tell you…if I don’t catch them at the exact right moment it will be next to impossible to get them into their room. Which is ridiculous, I mean come on, it’s winter and they refuse to go into the WARMEST ROOM in the whole building.

Sitting at work I got the chance not only to see Wilson on the desk with me but Arthur in the ball cart. How he’s comfortable on a bunch of tennis balls I couldn’t tell you. It’s strange.

Oh, I have to tell you how ridiculous I felt today. Earlier I mentioned my trip to Wawa right; well I bought myself lunch while I was there. I don’t know why I didn’t put this in the last post, I guess cause I literally forgot about the food.

It was a Lunchable.  I felt like such a little kid. It was one of thos epic ones where you build your own pizza too.

Once upon a time didn't they include a spreader for the sause? This may just be a me thing but it so hard to get that sause out even and smooth. Maybe im just a crazy mini pizza perfectionist.

Oh my god. In the post earlier I totally called something micro right? I did that becuase I blanked on how to spell Mini. Its kind pitiful how happy remembering the spelling ofr mini just made me.

Anyway. Im including a picture of the total hipster Platapus that was on the back of the Lunchable box.   You tell me if that qualifies as Hipster.

Ive never quite understood the definition of  hipster, but it seemed to fit the term to me. I laughed the second I saw it.

Ok so I'm currently writing this post in my car on my phone. My mailman just past for the second time. Im pretty sure he now thinks im crazy. This is not the first time hes caught me just chilling out in my car. Last time I was on the phone too but talking to someone, but judging by his face this time he has officially put me int the crazy colum.

....

I was downloading a game onto my phone today while I was eating. Can I just say it's severely disappointing when a game takes like four load screen at 20 mins a piece. I was practically banging my head o  the desk while I waited.  The game of course after all that was all slightly disappointing too.

Speaking of games by the way. Have you played Flappy Bird yet? I started playing like a week ago. It looked so simple, a total visual throwback to orginal mario games. BUT OH MY GOD I WAS WRONG. It is disceptive. I literally jumped for joy when I reached my current high score od 15 points. YES, I am that bad.  I even wrote an article that will be posted on www.fireicemagazine.com about how I love to hate Flappy Bird. (Another shamless plug).

When im not playing stupidly fun games on my phone I actually do read books by the way. I was an English major in College.

I burn through books on average one book every two or three weeks. My current choice is Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin.  I highly recommend.  Its such a beautiful story. The movie of it comes out on valentine's day.  Im very anxious to see how it will translate.  The book is a love affair with language and descriptions so I am curious to see what they pulled out to make the movie.  the trailers for it are so good.

Woah, news flash. It was just said over my voice car radio that you can no longer get Flappy Bird.  I must investigate why! I have rhe app on my phone already so its stuck there for now but if you haven't gotten it, the word is you wont be able to.  If you know why please comment.

Alrighty then, my toes are cold and I have to prepare.  Im going to the gym tonight. Yikes.

have a good day.

See You Later,

Chelsea

Good MORNing INterWEBS

If you know me at all I'm sure you can personally attest to the fact you’ve seen or in some way experienced how rapid fire and disjointed my attention span can be. If you don’t know me, that was your warning. This post however long it may will have a handful of tangents, I’m sure, seeing as I have no plan for what I’m about to say.  Bad grammar, misuse of commas, and probably some misspelling will be found in the post below. I’m also writing this as if I’m saying it out loud, so beware.

I can’t tell you how many blogs I’ve started over the past years. My aforementioned attention span doesn’t let me stay in one mode for very long so I eventually lose interest in that particular blog and start a brand new one. Heck, that’s how my online magazine, website thing, got started. www.fireicemagazine.com (shameless plug I know.) The reason I keep doing these blogs is simply because I like writing, so sue me.

I actually started writing for this blog last night, but the post I wrote was defiantly not one you start a blog with. I’ll probably rewrite it and then give up and start all over again later tonight.  I do that a lot when it comes to what I’m writing.  Ask my friends, I’ve probably subjected them to twenty different version of the book I’m writing.

Wait, I’m going to pause right here for one second. I have got to say THANK YOU. Those friends I just mentioned are awesome awesome people.  I subject them to constant emails, texts, and facebook messages about my book and they have all read my stuff and responded with amazing patience and kindness.  SO, here is my shout out to those people. Thank you guys and gals, I really do appreciate it. You have no idea how helpful it is when you read and give me feedback. It helps me grow as a writer.  I am a total amateur but I have improved thanks to you. (You should totally give feedback on this too. Wink wink)

Now…back to my ramblings. Well, I guess I never really stopped rambling… Whatever, I want to explain why I decided to start this specific blog.  Yesterday, I rediscovered how funny Felicia Day is. I was bored and trying to distract myself on Pinterest, my latest obsession, when I searched pins for Charlie Bradbury, Felicia Day’s character on the CW’s chow Supernatural.  I was having so much fun reading the quotes and seeing the pictures of the four episodes she’s been in that I made a board about Charlie. Well, that led to me searching Felicia herself. Thus, I found her video about learning Parkour. The Flog, her Geek and Sundry show, is hilarious.  So hilarious I grabbed my headphones and started marathoning, sort of. I was sitting on my poppop’s couch after dinner, looking like a weirdo with my pinkish orange hat on and my extra large cell phone like three inches from my face. (Galaxy Mega, 6.3 inch display. It’s a micro computer/television). I probably watch like eleven videos or about that.

I lost count of how many times my mom gave me the “Have you gone batty?” look when I started nearly hyperventilating in laughter. I love Felicia Day, she is beyond awesome. She’s braver than I am. I probably would have totally failed at Parkour. Heck, there is no probably there. I would have failed.  My laugh, by the way, according to my mother and everyone she’s told this joke to sounds like Muttley. If you don’t know who that is…I didn’t when she first said it….Google him. Muttley or however you spell it is a cartoon dog.  Wears an old style pilots hat thing, you know the leather hat with the flaps at the side of your face and the big goggles to go with it.  Watch the youtube videos of his laugh and just imagine a girl laughing like that. It’s both kind of cool, and seriously annoying at the same time how much I do sound like the dog. Every time someone comments on the sound, I only laugh harder and it gets worse and worse.  BACK to the reason I decided to write this…

See I told you I’d go on tangents…

I’ve probably said it a hundred times now that my mother and I need our own sitcom, we really have a lot of fun when you get us going. So, when my poppop commented on how we are like a comedy duo last night I started thinking. I crack myself up so why not write a blog and crack other people up? (I feel stupid admitting this was how my brain was operating last night, but whatever.) I’ll save the story of how his comment came about for that other post I was writing last night.  Point was, I got home and was seriously hyper, why I couldn’t tell you, it just happens sometimes. Sitting down, Mom and I started watching Supernatural again. It was my choice, mom isn’t a huge fan of it like I am but she puts up with it for me. Love her.

While I watch TV, I tend to multi task and work on my book, but I wanted desperately to record the hilarity of what happened at Poppop’s house so I started writing a blog post on a fresh word document. My internet kind of sucks at home, so I figured I’d post it later when I found the wifi bars. It was probably a two page long post that I realize I’ve probably rendered redundant by what I’ve written already in this one.

I wrote it like this one too, like I was having a full blown conversation with someone. It may sound a little crazy but I can’t put it any other way. Having a conversation go on in your head without sharing it with someone else isn’t really all that fun. Doing it out loud with an actual person is preferable, but as a blog, it works too.  So began Ramblez Much?

By the end of the night, however, I figured I wouldn’t be posting. My attention span is really that short. This is the moment your probably asking yourself, why then is there a post for you to be reading now then?  It was my drive to wawa this morning that changed my mind.

I seriously hate snow! The country has bombarded with snow this past month, particularly my area on the east coast over the last few weeks. Yes, I’m sure there are places in other states that have it worse, but that is not important for the moment. I hate snow. I’m tired of it. For the first time in my life I miss summer. (Pause for gasps).  You see, my car is a sports car. It’s low to the ground and apparently likes to slide in the least bit of sleet or white powder.  You’d probably think that after having this car for as long as I have I’d know how to drive it properly when winter come, but I don’t really. I’m a chicken when it comes to bad weather. If I can manage it, I refuse to drive in the rain.  That being said I also prefer to drive fast. What’s the point of driving a sports car slow?

Anyway… While I was driving to Wawa, (you’re missing out if you don’t know what Wawa is). In my head I started making commentary on how annoying the snow was, and I thought…I can’t be the only one who drives like a baby and complains about the snow. I know for a fact I’m not.  One thought led to another and here I am writing this post.

Have you ever realized that when there is snow on the ground your car seems to cop an attitude with you? Especially when you are crossing a busy road, your car never moves like you want it too. You press the gas fast, the wheels spin for a moment and then you take off much slower than you wanted. Or, you push the gas slow and crawl forward like a snail.  (Please leave a comment if you’ve experienced this, my car is notorious for being mean to me. I would love to know if this happens to other people. )

The reason I find this phenomena particular annoying because it always seems to be that moment of awkward slow motion that I see someone hurtling down the road towards me at reckless speeds. In reality I’m sure they are probably going much slower than they appear to be, but like I said I’m a chicken.

At Wawa I was searching for what to bring to work for lunch and walked past the Tastykake section and had a total geek moment. You see, Supernatural, the show I’ve mentioned a couple times now is one of my absolute favorites. I’ve followed it since the very beginning. Hence the Large number of pins I’ve made on the subject. (I’m Chelsea Lynn on Pinterst or @fangirltastic FOLLOW ME!)  To prove how much of super fan I am, I’ll add a picture of my necklace under here when I post this. I have Dean’s necklace. Well, I have the amulet charm; I got rid of the chain it came on because it was too small.

I’m a huge fan of Dean, sorry Sam. I could go all existential on you and explain why but I won’t. You know, actually that’s not the right word. Existential means something that I can’t remember right now but I know it was the wrong word…I could go all psychological on you…There we go.  Next holiday where it is acceptable to get presents I’ve already requested that someone get me his ring too.  Anyway…if you know one thing about Dean Winchester it is that he loves PIE.  It’s a running gag on the show that he asks Sam to get him some pie and Sam notoriously forgets it. Charlie Bradbury (Felicia Day) actually comments on it in Pac Man Fever, one of my favorite episodes ever. One time he actually gets him cake instead. Dean is not pleased but eats the cake anyway, I’m pretty sure Dean will eat it if it’s edible food.

Back to the aisle at Wawa, I saw the Tastykake pies, and here is where my geek moment happened. The words “Bring some PIE” literally came out of mouth like they had a life of their own. Thank God no one was around. I would have looked like a total nutbar.  I’m sure your probably thinking that I crazy by now anyway, so that’s why I shared this lovely moment. I’m oddly proud that I’ve typed this whole story and in fact most of this post while I was eating the apple pie I bought. See picture below, I have proof of my geek status.  (Sidebar: I love how I tried to turn geek into a word with “ness” at the end and the spell check options supplied gooeyness.)

Alright, I’m totally finishing the Co-opptitude video I started watching this morning, where Felicia Day and her brother Ryon play Gauntlet IV , Vapor something (I forget the full name), and Paper Boy.
Hope you were entertained by how crazy my thought process is. I just downloaded the blogger app on my phone, so hopefully I will continue this blog longer than the past ones I’ve done.  I had fun writing for you guys….

Now it’s time for shameless plugging. Dunt Dunt Dun…you read that with the sound affect in your head didn’t you….I did.

ps. The title of this post is so totally strange, I'm quite proud of it.
